Echocardiogram in Pediatric Practice

ECHO WORKSHOP

Agenda:

Aims to provide comprehensive echocardiographic assessment of congenital and paediatric congenital heart disease.

Who should attend:

  • Practicing Neonatologists who plan to work in Level II and above NICU
  • Neonatology Fellows and DM residents
  • Paediatricians/ MD residents who are interested in Paediatric cardiology

What to expect:

The attending paediatricians should be able to diagnose critical congenital heart diseases like a duct dependent systemic/pulmonary circulation, PPHN, LV dysfunction on echocardiography after the course.

Time and Location:

Aster Medcity, 24.01.2024, 9 am to 4 pm

TABLE OF CONTENT:

  • Lectures covering Fundamental Concepts / Views / Functional Echocardiography
  • Session I: Each group will be given echo machine to practice on basic views and Normal Hearts
  • Session II: Simple Congenital Heart Disease
  • Session III: Complex Congenital Heart Disease
  • Quiz on basics of echocardiography: Prize for winners.
  • Study material will also be provided.

30 delegates chosen for the conference will be divided into groups of 5. Each group will be manned with a Senior faculty and one echo machine, and all will be given equal opportunity to have hands-on echo training experience.
